Cedar & Wood Fencing in Wichita, KS
Cedar specialists, repair experts. Two brothers, one straightforward goal: build you a fence that looks great, stands straight, and holds up to Kansas wind, rain, and clay.
Cedar & Wood Fence Installation
Custom cedar privacy fences, picket, shadowbox, board-on-board, and other wood fence styles. Posts set at full depth in concrete with gravel drainage for Kansas clay. Most residential installs take 2–3 days. Cedar is the premium choice for Kansas weather — naturally rot-resistant and beautifully ages to silver-gray.

Wood Fence Repair
Leaning posts, broken pickets, sagging gates, storm-snapped sections, post rot at ground level. We diagnose what failed, replace what's gone, and reinforce what's salvageable. Most repairs are same- or next-day across the Wichita metro.

Wood Fence Removal & Tear-Out
Old fence got to go? We pull failing wood, chain-link, or vinyl fences — posts, concrete footings, debris and all. Yard left clean and ready for a fresh cedar build or open space. Often bundled with a new fence install.

Cedar Gate Installation
Single walk-through gates and double-leaf yard gates, built to match your fence. Heavy-duty hinges, drop rods, magnetic latches — hardware that doesn't sag at year three. Pedestrian access only; we don't install driveway or electric gates.

Every yard is different. A 60-foot straight run with no obstacles is nothing like a 200-foot wraparound with three gates and a slope — so we price each job for the actual property, not from a chart. Estimates are free, in-person, and honest.

Why Wichita Calls Warren Bros
Two brothers, one straightforward standard: build the fence we'd want at our own house. Hometown owners, honest pricing, built for Kansas weather.
Built by Brothers
Grant and Alex Warren are Wichita brothers — born here, building fences here. When you call, you talk to one of us. No call centers, no sales reps, no franchise overhead.
Cedar Specialists
We focus on cedar — and we know it cold. Western red cedar, properly graded boards, real picket-to-picket craftsmanship. Not the budget pine you find at big-box stores.
Built for Kansas Clay
Wichita soil is clay-heavy and our weather swings hard. Posts set at full depth, gravel-bedded for drainage, proper bracing on gates. The reason your fence stays straight.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions Wichita folks ask us most.
How much does a cedar fence cost in Wichita, KS?
Every yard is different — straight runs, slopes, gates, tear-out of an old fence, soil conditions all change the price. For a typical residential 6-foot cedar privacy fence in Wichita, expect somewhere in the $30–$50 per linear foot range, all materials and labor included. Repair work is priced by the section or post.
We come out, walk the property, and give you a written quote on the spot — usually within one business day. Estimates are always free. Call or text (316) 285-9172 to set one up.
Why cedar instead of pine or vinyl?
Cedar has natural oils that resist rot, repel insects, and weather to a beautiful silver-gray over time without needing paint. Pressure-treated pine is cheaper up front but cracks, twists, and rots faster in Kansas weather. Vinyl looks plasticky and gets brittle in winter cold. For a fence that'll still look great a decade from now, cedar is the right wood.
How long does a typical fence install take?
Most residential cedar privacy fence builds (around 150–200 feet) take 2 to 3 days from start to finish, weather permitting. Day one is post-setting; concrete needs to cure overnight. Days two and three are panels, pickets, gate hardware, and cleanup. Larger jobs or wraparound builds can run 4–5 days.
Will my fence stay straight in Kansas clay soil?
That's the whole game. Wichita's heavy clay soil holds water against fence posts, which is why so many fences in town start leaning within 2–3 years. We set posts at 24–28 inches deep in concrete with a gravel base for drainage — not just shoved in dirt. That's how a fence stays square through Kansas winters.
What style of cedar fence do you build?
Standard dog-ear, shadowbox (board-on-board), and flat-top picket — whatever style fits your home and HOA. We also do scalloped tops, lattice toppers, and custom heights up to 8 feet for full privacy. Just tell us the look you want and we'll show you how it'll work on your property.
Do you handle HOA submissions and city permits?
We can help. We'll provide a detailed materials list, fence height, and a sketch of the layout so you can submit to your HOA. For city permits where required (height over 6 feet, corner lots, certain neighborhoods), we'll talk you through what's needed. Most standard residential cedar fences in Wichita don't require a permit, but it's always worth confirming.
Do you offer fence repair, or only new builds?
Both. We do plenty of repair work — replacing leaning or rotted posts, swapping out broken pickets, re-bracing sagging gates, fixing storm-damaged sections. If it's salvageable, we'll save you the cost of a full rebuild. If it's beyond repair, we'll tell you straight.
How long has Warren Bros Fencing been in business?
We launched in 2021 right here in Wichita. Brothers Grant and Alex Warren run it — hands-on, every job. We're newer than some of the big names in town, but the work speaks for itself.
What areas around Wichita do you serve?
We cover Wichita, Derby, Andover, Goddard, Maize, Haysville, Augusta, Park City, Bel Aire, and Valley Center. If you're nearby and don't see your town listed, give us a call — we probably still cover you.
What's the best way to get a quote?
